Aeroflot says hopes air connection to resume from April 2021
MOSCOW, Dec 1 (PRIME) -- Russian flagship air carrier Aeroflot hopes that air travel will recover from April 2021, otherwise the company will have to revise its development plans, CEO Mikhail Poluboyarinov told an economic policy commission of the Federation Council, parliament’s upper house, on Tuesday.
“We hope that maybe from April – we have such a feeling – aviation connection may begin to recover. Correspondingly, the plans, goals and tasks we want to achieve may begin to be implemented,” he said.
“If there is … (a new) onset of the pandemic in April or something else, we will have to revise our plans to continue surviving and reducing.”
Poluboyarinov also said that despite the pandemic, Aeroflot does not plan to revise its strategy envisaging traffic of 130 million passengers until 2028.
